Inventory

  • Do we have any of this product in stock
  • What shelf or bin is the item located at
  • Did someone order some more of this product yet
  • When is that order due to be here and from what supplier
  • Can we get the history of this specific lot or serial number

These five questions may make up a lot of your conversations during a normal business day. The importance of inventory tracking increases exponentially on the day you run out of inventory or you cannot prove the lot/serial of the product shipped. FlowTrac’s InventoryTrac can help you answer these types of questions.

Knowing you have enough quantity is important, but if you cannot find those items, orders do not ship. Most inventory items increase, decrease and move about your facility for one reason or another. The InventoryTrac solution uses a variety of barcode scanning technologies to trap and track these activities product by product and bin by bin. Employee badges are also scanned so you can know who handled the inventory transaction in addition to the date and time. FlowTrac’s mobile platform can scan and post to your back end database in real time as it happens. No scanning for a while and then going to a cradle or cable to upload the latest data. FlowTrac’s mobile platform will scan and push the data immediately to your back end database. REAL time, NOT batch time. If Wi-Fi or cellular service is not available, no problem. Data can be saved locally on the mobile device and then auto synchronized when connection is available via Wi-Fi, cellular service, or cable. FlowTrac is in service at a large variety of inventory on hand industries.
